The Art of Storytelling exhibit series celebrates the  East Bay’s rich cultural and artistic histories and  dynamic changing demographics through multi -  generational storytelling and testimonials articulated  through a variety of visual media.

On February 16th California Humanities celebrated  the launch of our second exhibit in the series  featuring the work of Oakland-based artist and community organizer, Favianna Rodriguez. These vibrant and powerful pieces help create a dialogue about gender, race, identity, and immigration.

Favianna’s work is “a powerful blend of digital art,  traditional printmaking mediums, and an intimate  view of the things that are important to all of  humanity - love, interdependence, and kindness.”  The exhibit features Rodriguez's work that not only  shines a light on women and immigrant  communities, but also empowers them. Contact to schedule a private  appointment to view the exhibit (Mon-Fri 9:00 –              4:00 PM)
