BOOK EXHIBIT: Showcasing books about immigration, poverty, and community

LA HABRA-- With a grant from California Humanities, the La Habra Library proudly introduces the second film in the series: Dismantling Archetypes: Breaking down barriers through film (see separate event posting for April 30th). The La Habra Library presents  film professors, historians, directors and artists who discuss films covering race, ethnicity and gender identity to encourage dialogue about these important issues.  For the month of April we will display various different books about immigration, poverty and the inner city, and the effects of failing to assimilate entire populations of people on the larger society.
