FILM SCREENING and DISCUSSION: French film La Haine (Hate)

LA HABRA--  The La Habra Library proudly introduces the second film in the series: DISMANTLING ARCHETYPES: BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS THROUGH FILM.
In this series, film professors, historians, directors and artists discuss films covering race, ethnicity and gender identity to encourage dialogue about these important issues.

LA HAINE tells the story of the Paris underbelly, where a group of racially mixed social underclass has grown with no way of escape. Join us as we discuss immigrants, how we treat them, and how it reflects on our own prejudice. Steve Elkins, documentary film director and composer, will facilitate a dsicussion on LA HAINE (Hate).

Light refreshments provided. Attendance is Free for first 100 persons. Parking is in front of the Library.
