How Hollywood portrays Arabs and Muslims

This two hour documentary will scrutinize a century’s worth images of Arabs and Muslims in the United States media and look at the lives of several Californians of Arab heritage who live and work in Hollywood.

Project Director Michael Singh, who is writer, director and producer of the film, said,

“We believe 'Valentino’s Ghost' will offer national audiences a fresh opportunity to explore how our nation of immigrants has viewed and continues to view Arabs, Arab Americans and Islam. We believe the film will spark dialogue among the public and lead to a more imaginative and diverse depiction of Arabs by Hollywood’s creative community.

On completion, the documentary will be broadcast nationwide on PBS.
