A special exhibition of photographs of migratory farm workers taken during the late
1930s by Horace Bristol, Dorothea Lange, Marion Post Wolcott and others. The Bristol
photographs are from his Grapes of Wrath Family Album: Images of the Joad Family,
photographed with John Steinbeck, on loan from the California State Library. Supporting
images and objects include a striking series of photographs depicting the Great Depression
in Sacramento, a rare first edition of "The Grapes of Wrath," and other documentation
from this decade of misery.
