Lecture for potential readers by Jerry Caveglia, Steinbeck scholar.

Library exhibit of books, photos, bibliographies; prepared by library staff.

"Reflections on "The Grapes of Wrath"
Library exhibit of 11th grade student art work based on the novel and film. Prepared by Judy Harrison, coordinator, Instructional Materials, Hayward Unified School District.

October 10, 7 pm
"Hayward Immigrants Share Their Stories"
Talk and open forum in which Hayward residents provide oral histories about their immigrant experience; John Hebel, moderator.

October 12, 2 pm
"Ford's "The Grapes of Wrath"
Screening and discussion of the film led by Jerry Caveglia.

October 26, 2 pm
"The Grapes of Wrath"
Lecture by Jerry Caveglia; discussion by readers of the novel.
