The California Council for the Humanities connects Californians to ideas and one another in order to understand
our shared heritage and diverse cultures, inspire civic participation, and shape our future.

Another winner of the $1,000 prize was iranian.com feature writer, Zohreh Khazai Ghahremani. NCM is a nationwide association of over 700 ethnic media organizations representing the development of a more inclusive journalism.
