How I See It: Youth Digital Filmmakers

A group of inner city San Francisco young people will write, direct and produce a narrative film exploring such issues as gun violence, poverty and gangs.
At the heart of the film will be the “true” stories of the young filmmakers based on personal experiences and interviews with peers, family members and others. The young people will then transform the stories into a script and participate in all phases of production.
“We envision a film that captures the raw flavor of life stories experienced by youth living on the fringe in the inner city,” said Project Director Debra Koffler.
