When CCH launched California Stories, we hoped to demonstrate that public humanities programs not only enriched audiences but also increased understanding among diverse groups and moved people to become more involved in their communities. Now a report from the independent evaluation firm Harder+Company confirms that California Stories' projects helped promote a sense of community among participants.
